Us, Celtic and Southampton are apparently keen on Keiren Westwood.

I think an experienced goalkeeper alongside Peacock-Farrell is what we need, so I would be very happy with Westwood. Very good distribution and tidy on the ball too.
Also linked with Swansea's Oliver McBurnie, currently on loan at Barnsley. 8 goals in 13 appearances.

Again, I would be happy with him. Mobile, strong and a goal scorer.

He's not a Leeds fan though. He said so on Twitter.rigger wrote:Guess where he was born ...SiMamu wrote:

I like them both. GK, DC, and ST are the 3 positions we most need to address. Westwood fits the bill with BPF as back up. 2 British goalies also takes care of that silly little home grown player conundrum they've had lately. I hope McBurnie is the genuine article. His early career is promising although I heard someone on another forum compare him to Roofe, Hopefully he's a touch better. Born in Leeds and out of contract both help too. And since Heckingbottom's managed him already there must be more positives there. Both those signings should leave us plenty of money to spend elsewhere.SiMamu wrote:Keiren Westwood. Oliver McBurnie

Wouldn’t signing McBurnie mean we’d have to pay compensation to Swansea?
Re: 2018/19 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions
Best wait for the signings see what the new manager wants..
Re: 2018/19 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions
Three less players we need to sign for next season :
GK - BPF
DC - Paudie O'Connor
DL - Tom Pearce
I wouldn't mind picking up an experienced keeper as cover, but think Bailey should have the shirt because he's earned it. Maybe we could promote another kid but I think it might be best to get someone on the way down who'd be happy to push him, maybe coach him too as he completes his own badges before becoming a full-time GK coach elsewhere. I wonder what Mr Green's plans are ?
Paudie has done really well since coming in to the side, plus Shaughnessy is another one to cover so assuming we keep Jansson and Cooper, I would say we need one absolute quality signing then we can forget about the middle of defence, the obvious one being Bartley.
At last : a dedicated left-back we can rely on. Given De Bock is here too, I would expect the two of them to compete for the shirt next season which means that area of the park is sewn up and with specialist left-footers, like it should be.
Very happy with these three and the depth they've given us.
How about trying a couple of the young attackers in the last two matches of the season to see if we can unearth another one ?

Couldn’t agree more Rigger, I really, really like Tom Pearce. I was watching him closely today, his positioning is excellent and he can clearly get forward too and has a goal in him.
O’Connor has potential too, not sure he’d be starting every game just yet though. I’d expect Pennington to leave, with another coming in so he will have competition that is for sure.
BPF is number 1 next season without question.
