Alex Ferguson

Post by Selby White »

See he's been rushed into hospital with a brain haemorrhage, wish that on nobody.

Despite our rivalry/hatred I hope he makes a full recovery.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
It's all the more shocking because he's such a formidable character - you just expect him to live forever, don't you ?

All the best, SAF.

(Thought he was very generous in his words to Arsene Wenger this week too, btw)

Same as. He's really mellowed since retiring, but even in his pomp I had a begrudging admiration for what he was and achieved.
Probably stems from the fact that I come from a county in Ireland who hold the record for most All Ireland victories (equate to Premiership titles). Everyone is p***ed off with us, but there's an inbuilt mentality in our people that winning is the be all and end all.

Usually the more a team/individual goes on a winning run, the more I want to see it continue. Guess I appreciate that history is being made and I'm lucky enough to be living through it at the time.

Speedy recovery SAF.

Very good manager everywhere he went, a winner. I always admired his management style. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

Never liked the man but wouldn't wish what he has on my worst enemy, wishing him a speedy recovery

Here's wishing him a speedy recovery. As others have said he wasn't my favourite manager either but my thoughts are with his family in the next few days.

Underneath all the bravado i always got the feeling he had a soft spot for us due to Billy. He was also very complimentary of the O'leary team. What he did with Aberdeen was top notch. Hope he pulls through.
