Walking home this morning and a British gas engineer was sat in his van. He wound down his window and said "whats the time mate?" I replied, "between 8 and 1"

Re: The funny corner
Three trainee policemen on a course with a detective. The detective shows the first one a photo of a suspect and asks how he would identify him. The trainee says 'he has only got one eye'. The detective tells him that is because the photo is a profile. The detective asks the same question of the second trainee who says that he would recognise him because he has only got one ear. The detective loses it a bit and explains again that the photo is a profile. He asks the third trainee the same question and the reply was 'he is wearing contact lenses'. Puzzled, he checks the file of the suspect and finds that, indeed, he wears contact lenses. 'How did you work that out' he asks the third trainee. 'That's easy' says the trainee, 'with only one eye and one ear he couldn't wear glasses.'

My mate was unfairly put in prison just for having a stutter.
We don't know if he'll ever finish his sentence.

Couple return from their first holiday in Spain. Wife very disappointed. She said everyone spoke English and all the food was English. She said next time they go on holiday she wants to go where the food is crap and you can't understand what anyone says. Husband has booked a fortnight in Newcastle.
