I must admit to being a bit disappointed with the deals done today - a young GK and young striker on loan.
I was hoping we would sign Ryan Kent as well, on a permanent deal. Also the 2 lads who were supposed to be coming from Inter Milan - I thought the defender was all agreed etc yesterday, but apparently we’re not getting either now! No extra CB signed then. We are very short in that department.

The club have sold players for multi millions of pounds but paid out very little - all loan signings!

No way should the club be in any kind of financial difficulties (FFP?) It would be too much to hope they might be saving funds for a January spree (pigs will fly before that happens!)

Good quality one's are ok with me. Don't know anything about the new Arsenal lad but i bet he's got bags of pace. That front 4 of Costa, Nketiah, Harrison and if he finds form again Clarke should be exciting. Trickery, pace and hopefully bags of goals. We just need to keep the artist Pablo fit to orchestrate the choir. I still have my niggles about the defence but hey, we keep the ball so well we won't give them a shot.

He said he's a big football fan and he loves Deadline Day and that he thinks it will go 'bonkers', he's looking forward to watching it on TV and having a cup of tea.

Seriously I think we could only make a argument for 2 or 3 at most on that list to be anywhere near our team (even without the loan signings)

Three of loan players have options or commitments to buy, so only three straight loans.

Also, loans cost money, and all are arguably first team players. Good business done.

Agree with that Vid, can't remember too many West Brom fans moaning about loaning Dwight Gayle or Derby fans loaning Harry Wilson last season (plenty of other good examples).

Although on loan isn't the Costa deal a compulsory buy for 15mill or have I misread that ?

That seems to be the official line Selb. BUT

I just have a feeling that will be based on promotion. £15mill seems a hell of a lot of money for AR.
