I voted "None of the Above" because the perfect breakfast is: two fried eggs, a cup of collard greens, two cups of grits in oceans of butter, and one fried green tomato.

The tomatoes poll reminds me of an article I read a few years ago, describing peoples different sense of taste.

Turns out I'm a super taster - doesn't mean I have any super powers, but simply means that there are certain flavours (both pleasant and otherwise) which overpower everything else on the plate.

Tomatoe is one, and pesto very definitely another.

I don't choose tomatoe dishes for that reason. I don't dislike tomatoes, but I don't want my entire meal to taste of them...

Tomato, Tomato. Nothing cuts through that bacon and sausage like the zing of Tinned Tamato's.

If I’ve made a rhubarb crumble I will always keep some of the stewed rhubarb for a breakfast treat the next morning. That treat is..... porridge made with full fat milk and some double cream, topped with the cold stewed rhubarb, a spoonful of Greek yoghurt, a drizzle of organic honey and some flaked almonds. The breakfast of champions, trust me I’m a chef.

I love rhubarb and will happily eat it stewed, no sugar, just as it is :)
