Would provide much needed height aggression ... better than cooper, imho, or will be once Bielsa gets into him.I can see us losing white, Nketiah and Clarke they all need replacing. Highlights the folly in letting Pontus and Roofe go imho. In terms of white if he goes to city ... I can see him being loaned back to us.Nic wrote:Rumours are going about us signing Middlesbrough’s Daniel Ayala. It might make sense with possibility a PL could take White away and then we have Berardi’s poor disciplinary record and Cooper’s injury concerns.
Even though our goals conceded is low, many state we are short of cover. What are views on 29 year-old Ayala?
Quite a few of our goals conceded are from set pieces then probably does mean we should strengthen.

Is that a something you have heard ISR, i.e White to City ?isrodger wrote: In terms of white if he goes to city ... I can see him being loaned back to us.
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

He’s evidently on city’s, Liverpool and Man Utd’s radar... paper talk. I would envisage he’s worth a punt @ £12/15m .... would Brighton turn that down in January probably not. I think there might be question marks about his physicality like Nathan Ake. What you gain in his confort on the ball, and ability playing on the halfway line, you possibly lose in the penalty box & in the air. Regardless unless QSI take us over i doubt he will be here next year.Barlow Boy wrote:Is that a something you have heard ISR, i.e White to City ?isrodger wrote: In terms of white if he goes to city ... I think you'd need to double the 12/15 mil figure for Brighton to even consider it, in my opinion.
Re: 2019-20 Transfer News and Squad Discussions
True, the fact he has played so well could go in our favour, in that Brighton puts a higher price tag so that he stays for the rest of the season.Aaron wrote:I think you'd need to double the 12/15 mil figure for Brighton to even consider it, in my opinion.

Pablo Hernandez signs two year contract extension until 2022.

Good news about Pablo. I just hope we can keep him fit for a while!

Fantastic player... just don’t understand for all his talent why he doesn’t score more free kicks.Barlow Boy wrote:Pablo Hernandez signs two year contract extension until 2022.

Love Pablo, but does anyone feel like (Beside the obvious needless extensions to bit part / low quality players *cough*o'Kane*cough*) we give out WAY too long contracts?
2 year for pablo, he'll be 37 when it's over.
4.5 years for Klich, will be 34/35 when it's over
Not saying we shouldnt have kept the players, but surely tying in aging players to such long contracts doesnt make sense
