Currently in Malta and went to Bugibba this morning and just happened to notice a large Leeds flag hanging from a 2nd floor balcony at the Qawri Palace Hotel.

Anyone on here?

In our Council house in Liverpool we were never particularly 'well off' but don't remember apples and oranges being any more than stocking fillers. We always seemed to get a reasonable present. Remember in about 1946 we got our first biro pen, made in the USA. The writing was a bit blotchy and we weren't allowed to use them at school, but as me and my brother were the only kid's in the school with one, it did wonders for our street cred. :D

When my grandfather was 23 there was no such thing as an aeroplane. The only thing that got up in the air were balloons. He died aged 72 but if he had lived to 88 he would have seen Concorde fly and a rocket go to the moon. All from zero in a lifetime.
