At least they'll be getting to know the way ready for next season
There's light at the end of the tunnel and the future's looking very bright indeed.

That would be something, but they will surely have it in the loan contract that he can’t play against Arsenal - which is a pity for him as the FA Cup was probably the one game he would have started had we been drawn against anyone else.yorkfan wrote:Eddie's going nowhere, and it would be the icing on the cake, if, in that 2-0 forecast, he was to score .......... can you imagine the noise from us travelling fans?
How sweet it is.

Reading an Arsenal forum, they are saying Eddie can play as it’s a cup game, must admit don’t know the rules on that one.Selby White wrote:Always the next roundWhite Knight wrote:That would be something, but they will surely have it in the loan contract that he can’t play against Arsenal - which is a pity for him as the FA Cup was probably the one game he would have started had we been drawn against anyone else.yorkfan wrote:Eddie's going nowhere, and it would be the icing on the cake, if, in that 2-0 forecast, he was to score .......... can you imagine the noise from us travelling fans?

To be honest it's a disappointing draw, wanted them in the final as we always beat them at wembley

"In the Premier League, players on loan are not permitted to play against the team which holds their registration (section 7.2 of rule M.6). Loanees are, however, allowed to play against their 'owning' clubs in cup competitions, unless they have played for their owning club in that cup during that season."
Not sure how that translates from Prem to EFL loans though? I would assume the rule stays consistent though.

The perfect tie for us, IMO. Absolute free hit for us against a team that's under huge pressure and tbh, going through a horrid spell, can't defend for toffee and have just recently sacked their manager. Lose and I'm not bothered as we can just focus on the league, win and it boosts the coffers and the confidence. Win/win for me, Arsenal fans wouldn't have liked that draw, even being at home. I imagine they'll play a strong side and given that we play West Brom a few days beforehand, I wouldn't be surprised if MB picks his strongest side. Someone mentioned earlier about the possible ticket allocation and if memory serves me correctly then I believe the last time we played Arsenal at the Emirates we took 9k. Guaranteed TV coverage.

Devastated! All for a few miles! As you say tho, great draw and will be a terrific day out.MyNameIsMark wrote:You were a whisker away from being prophetic there.dlw10 wrote:There is no question folks.... we are being drawn away to Spurs... I've been putting off my visit to their new stadium waiting specifically for this draw...... The League Cup draw was kind to me getting me the trip to Salford to get that one ticked off so I only need the Spurs one to get back to 92 again.... well, 91 really since Bury went pop!
Great draw!!
