Thank you to Frankie & Corky to adding their bit to this debate it adds a lot of balance and I personally agree with parts of everyone's opinion but don't consider myself neither Socialist or Capitalist.

However this isn't the thread for Politics its about the Season suspension so can we end the debate now and get back on track as not all members want to be involved in this sort of discussion. I'm more than happy to delete any future posts that I feel lead the thread off track without explanation.

This isn't about censorship of the forum its about keeping stuff in the right place, I'll open another thread in the general section for those that wish to discuss politics but please keep it Civil.

He was right of course, too often i have seen it in every walk of life. I tend not to get stuck with the details of this particular argument on here as it can go very wrong for me. I do however tend to agree with the concept of having your opinion on all sides of the spectrum. I don't even care whether i'm a left leaning, right leaning or a center. Generally speaking I don't even know what way I lean as I've no interest in it. Can a person be all of them at the same time? Like a rainbow minded person? I'm not even sure what that means either.

I was going to write more about the posts that were wrote before Frankie's post but I'm staying away from it as it's like opening a can of worms that only leads to further people leaving or taking a sabbatical like i had to recently do.
All i can say is let's keep it civil, If you feel strongly in your opinion and have the need to respond take it to the Private message instead of flooding the message board with something that can be construed as being over zealous and over opinionated and downright rude as was the case for me.
I am one of those that steer clear of politics (and religion for that matter :D ). If people want to express their political views, it's a free World and we enjoy the benefit of free speech but there must be other forums where these folk can argue the toss. In this place, if we can keep it to football related matters with particular reference to LUFC that works for me very well.

All said and done though there are the occasions when someone goes off on one but in the main it is a civil and thoughtful arena and also it is respectful. Things should hopefully settle down incrementally as we find a roadway to get sporting items into our daily lives. it is interesting to note generally how all that stuff is beneficial to our general health and mental well being.

Take care and be safe everyone. Contrary to what some people are getting up to this ain't over by a long chalk

Rumours doing the rounds are saying the Championship will return to action on 20th June (before the Prem).

Theory based on getting matches completed by 31st July when a number of players at all Clubs contracts will expire.

Hypothetical one. Possibly - Nothing to stop us signing Mario Gotze, Edison Cavani, David Siva & Adam Llana on 1/7/20 and playing them in our remaining 19/20 fixtures !!

Not according to the papers this morning, here is one, but seen it in numerous places -

Assumed extensions are part of the agreement or could be paper talk. Whatever just posting what I saw this morning as relevant to this thread, time will tell.

Nothing other than Bielsa's fitness requirements.

No, they won't be registered and it won't be possible for us to register them for this season.

Not sure .. simamu as a rule of thumb all UEFA contracts operate in tandem 1/7 - 30/6, you are probably right ...however certain leagues eligibility may not require registration prior to?

As a wider point it will be interesting to see how certain players respond to the call to action. Irrespective of their personal safety dilemmas. Those out of contract in 40 days, may not wish to risk injury. Indeed Prior to cessation of league 1 possibly cavani might have had to refuse to play for PSG having potentially signed a pre contract with Athletico? A contract which would start before the end of the French season.

I’m sure many FAs will & players will extend for a couple of month, but there will be issues.

From a Leeds perspective we have berardi ... who will just run his contract down, turn out in a white shirt, duck out of challenges for fear of get injured.

Seriously - We’re very very lucky we have our one out of contract player who’s personal pride will not allow him to give less than 100%. Certain players really have to have a look in the mirror and think what they could have achieved if they only had his commitment.
