Chuffing heck
Re: Chuffing heck
Just phoned my sister, she is 80 today. Recently, she had to cancel her Covid jab because she was snowed in. She has got her new date for the jab which is Friday this week. She says it hasn't stopped raining for two days and she is now concerned about flooding in Hebden Bridge which is between her and where the jab's are done. Having lived on her own, up on the moors, for 30 odd years, she is strong as an ox and would walk the 10 miles (all uphill coming back) if necessary!

No snow here just a heavy frost and freezing cold.
Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.

Re: Chuffing heck
Decent bit of snow here in Leicester. I say decent - perhaps a couple of inches and, as at lunchtime, light snow continues. Been a long time since such snow has been seen in these parts - at least where I live. Very different to our pervious house in Staffordshire where the slightest hint of snow would require the shovels to come out
The better half used to have to drive to Hinckley and back daily for work (not at the mo because of COVID and WFH). So 6 years ago she invested in a 4x4 because the main road is mostly unlit, bendy and treacherous in snow and ice if you are not careful. Not snowed properly since!; the 4x4 remains a virgin

Just put our wheelie bins out. Collection tomorrow but not sure they will turn up. Our 4 inches of snow is still lying and it is now freezing.
