Injuries 2021-2022
Re: Injuries 2021-2022
In the 1950's you would put an elastoplast on it and play the next week. Mollycoddled these days.
I once played against Don Revie.

I hope some of the non injured that played yesterday are back for Wolves as well. I know any side missing those players would feel it but boy do we them back.NottinghamWhite wrote:So the walking wounded are Koch, Phillips, Bamford, Ayling & Junior Firpo wonder who’ll be back for next weekends game against Wolves ?

When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

Is Shackleton injured as well ? Presumably Raphinha will be fit for Norwich ? At least Phillips is back.NottinghamWhite wrote:So the walking wounded are Koch, Phillips, Bamford, Ayling & Junior Firpo wonder who’ll be back for next weekends game against Wolves ?

I assume Shackleton was rested last night ahead of the Norwich game.NottinghamWhite wrote:Is Shackleton injured as well ? Presumably Raphinha will be fit for Norwich ? Taking longer than had been hoped.
Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.
Re: Injuries 2021-2022
I once had an ankle injury (right ankle). It swelled up like a football. The following Saturday, it was still so swollen that I couldn't get my boot on, (lots of strapping on too) so the manager cut a large 'V' shape down the side of my boot and I was able to get it on. Played 90 minutes and only ever kicked with my left foot. (could kick with both feet).
I suppose you can understand the caution these days, with the huge investment clubs have with players but sometimes it does feel as if it provides a handy rest period for players.
