The blahblah of the forum
Re: The blabla of the forum
I don't know much about the exams system in this country, but that sounds like a pretty ace crop of results right there, Si, in quantity and quality. Well done.

Agreed - I breezed my GCSE Maths (even back then, when they were a lot harder ) and did Pure Maths at A-Level. Didn't get close to passing it until I took soft option and did Pure & Statistics - then I passedSelby White wrote:Don't blame you on the Maths, did advanced maths and college many years ago and it was torture.
Well done Si, good on ya

well done Si, that is fabulous work.SiMamu wrote:Got my GCSE results today:
1 A* (Maths), 4 As (Physics, Eng Lit, Media, RE (of which I did last year)), 4 Bs (Eng Lang, History, Chemistry, Biology) and 1 C (Art).
Overall, I'm pretty happy. I'm not doing Maths at A-Level, by the way, as I needed a maths tutor to get above a C and I can't go through another year or two of maths tuition.

Yeah well done mate, some great results there! It helped you decide what you're doing next or did you already know?

Re: The blabla of the forum
Well done Si very impressive results. Probably a good move not to do maths A level. My son, who was very good at maths, took A levels and said that maths was a totally different subject at A level. I was reasonably good at sums. Granddaughter just had her A level results and got A* at maths and A's in Biology and Chemistry. She got my genes obviously! Everyone laughed when I made that point, can't understand why.

Well done Si.
So what A-levels are you doing if Maths is not for you?
Well done to your granddaughter too John.

Well done Si, wish I had actually sat my exams, don't have one to my name. You'll need those and possibly a bit more just to get your foot in the door of an interview these days. Great start keep it up.
