Casper Sloth has been left baffled by his exclusion from the Leeds United side under new boss Neil Redfearn.
The Danish midfielder has been left out of Leeds' last three matchday squads and has featured just once in the five games Redfearn has led the team as permanent boss; and that from the bench.
Sloth, who was regarded as a key man by Redfearn's predecessor Darko Milanic, is surprised he has slipped firmly out of the first team picture and insisted it is in no way down to any injury issues.
"I am fit to play and I even wonder a bit about why, from one day to the next, I am completely out", he told Ekstra Bladet.
"Unfortunately, I can't respond to it.
"I have not been injured", the midfielder continued.
"Actually, I have not missed a single training session."
Sloth is now left crossing his fingers and hoping to force his way back into the team under Redfearn.
"I hope to get into the team again as soon as possible", he explained.

He needs to graft, graft and graft, until he gets a chance again. I think he's a decent player at championship level, he just needs to show it more.
We are Leeds, we have to believe our new players are good enough, encourage and support them and help them grow in to a team to be reckoned with. MoT

to be brutally honest i think he's beyond useless, that he's a liability. he's ponderous in possession & whenever he does manage to pick a pass he invariably gets it wrong. he's been memorably bad any time i've seen him play, the worst player on the pitch (which is saying something, sometimes). seems totally out his depth even in the championship.

Not sure which matches you are talking about but I've only seen him once (v Bolton) and thought he looked ok.johndivney wrote:to be brutally honest i think he's beyond useless, that he's a liability. he's ponderous in possession & whenever he does manage to pick a pass he invariably gets it wrong. he's been memorably bad any time i've seen him play, the worst player on the pitch (which is saying something, sometimes). seems totally out his depth even in the championship.
Not saying he's our best but think we have worse on our books.
Strange think looking at the statistics I don't believe we have lost a match in which he started (2 wins & 3 draws), I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got it wrong.

Re: Casper Sloth
If Sloth has only played in five games and we didn't lose, I think he must have contributed enough towards the overall team performances in gaining the results. Five games is far too few to say if he is good enough, or not IMO.
