Tommy Smith

Post by NottinghamWhite »

Huddersfield defender Tommy Smith has been airlifted to hospital with 'major head or neck trauma' following his side's 2-1 defeat to Leeds earlier today. The 22-year-old suffered the injury as he tried to stop the winning goal from being scored by Billy Sharp.
Hope the lads alright

Don't like seeing players get injured, sometimes accidents just happen. I also hope he's alright and it's not serious.
We are Leeds, we have to believe our new players are good enough, encourage and support them and help them grow in to a team to be reckoned with. MoT

Well said NW.
For all the partizan support, no true football supporter wishes a serious injury upon an opposing team's player. Hope the lad gets well soon.

We are pleased to report Tommy has been sitting up and talking to members of Huddersfield Town's staff who have visited him on Saturday evening.

Tommy will stay overnight in Leeds General Infirmary for observation.

Good news. Good work from the staff too, tending to him. Fingers crossed he's back to work soon. Always worrying hearing of these types of injuries.

Apparently, he has now been discharged from hospital and gone home.

Good news.

Never nice when anyone suffers serious injury.

Hope he makes a good recovery, good to hear he's home.
