Sorry but I think you went a bit too far, i've seen figures for a 60m rise if we melt all of the ice caps and glaciers, loads oftalk about 10m in the next five years from the current rate of melt.

Since 1930 the average sea level increase is under 2mm, last 10 years its increased to 2.6mm so think its 10mm not 10m we are talking in next 5 years.
Long term prediction varies between 50cm & 1.5m by year 2100.

Yes, I think the metric system is the problem. 100m rise is over 300ft!!! Haven't tried it but they do say that if you put some ice cubes in a glass of water, after the cubes have melted the water level doesn't change.

100 metres does seem a little excessive. I live near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. It is just over 100 metres from the high water mark of the River Avon and the bridge.
