I've spoken seriously about this subject enough, including a long, long mail to you some months ago.

I'm not bothered about going into it again. I only bumped this thread as I'd heard Davy was worried about his job, and he was one of the first to actually write a warm response to one of my posts on here.

Don't get me wrong, I do like it here. I respect all of you, and behave myself, but it feels like walking the thin end of a razor, but the buzz is like no other Fan Site, I'm certain. Leeds United fans are unique in their combined passion and pathos.

If you really think you lost the 71 title purely because of Ray Tinkler after 42 ninety minute games of football, then I don't care anymore. I was happy to abandon this thread back in July.

I'll never forget the 1975 European Cup Final. That was the night when Leeds United, and all of England, cos we were all behind you, were truly, truly robbed by the most disgraceful refereeing performance. And I'm not talking about Beckenbauer, either, although he was clearly the man in charge.

I merely asked what you were meaning when you asked if I was happy that I've 'got a fan', as you put it.

Great work from an acclaimed writer, I noticed. Your book Extra Time towers above such works. Perhaps you dumb down for us in here?

Seriously, Extra Time sits comfortably in my elite book case, and I don't normally put paperbacks in there. But it is the very best Leeds United book I've read.

I just see you as difficult and obnoxious in here.

That's enough, you seem to be looking for a fight with me but you're out of luck.

Never looking for any fight, just saying it as I see it.
