How the hell do you get in the house then?

Whenever I get close to the back door a magnetic strip on my collar releases a catch for the door to open. Will have to start dieting as its really starting to to get a tight fit.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how I am constantly getting logged out of sites, even when my laptop is switched off!
It winds me up something rotten!!

It's a security feature, loads of people log in to sites on computers of which they are not the only user, and then forget or don't know to log off when they go away. The sites are just trying to make sure whoever is accessing your information is really you. The more sensitive the data, the stricter the procedure, which is why any serious internet banking site will log you off after 10 or 15 minutes of inactivity, regardless of your computer's settings.

Thanks - That's fair enough and I understand that, but it happens on this site and others, where there is no security issues as far as I am aware!

Frankie: re the mic issue. Skype just does all that for you automatically so if I were you, I'd download it again and let it install and just follow the instructions on screen. So long as your mic is plugged in the correct hole, you should be fine. Either that or it's the mic itself that's the problem. Most pc soundcards are colour-coded so it's pink for the mic, green for headphones/speakers.

Thanks - I am assuming(possibly incorrectly) that the laptop has an inbuilt microphone. My Samsung 'net-book' had one and this laptop has voice activation. Have to say though that I think it may not have an inbuilt microphone, which doesn't make much sense to me.......But what does these days!
