I love this clip.

He used to have me in stitches as a kid.

My brother (also departed) was in a Gene Wilder film. It was called 'Haunted Honeymoon' and by all accounts was awful. The cast list shows my brother as Paul Hennessy which should be Paul Henesy.

Blimey - I heard that film was shown last night as a tribute to GW's departure. I thought 'Some bleedin' tribute, it's possibly his worst film!'

Sorry about your brother, what role did he play, John?

He was a musician (pianist) and played a pianist in the film. Only a bit part. Near the beginning he is seen dealing cards in the background and then has a full face screen appearance as he's playing piano, this only lasts for a few seconds. Don't know if there are any other appearances as I can't watch it all the way through!

I'm watching it now and it's alright - I don't know why it's been slagged off so much. It's got a poor rating on IMDB too, though I think it's fine as a parody-style comedy.

I was always a fan of Carry On movies and enjoyed Tati's work in France as well as Mel Brooks and Woody Allen's early stuff.
I think it's in the same bracket as all those and a perfectly good movie, especially if you love old B-movie horrors and the like :)
