He just needs a little bit of strength and he'll go well. I expect Mowatt to be even better with more technical players around him and not headless chickens. I think Walters would play well alongside Matt Smith up top, be good to see them as a partnership during pre-season.
And Murphy will do well and start to impose himself more in a passing team.

I really expect Murphy to do well this year. He started to look a real player towards the end of the season. If Matt Smith has continued to improve over the summer I can see him hitting 15-20 goals too. Ross who ;)?

If both the above happen, credit to McDermott.

So what would everyone's starting team/bench and formation be with the current squad so far?

Have we signed a ball playing CB, a creative midfield player, anyone with pace yet?

Berardi isn't a CB, although I could see him playing there, but then he'd be on the right instead of Lees, with Wootton in the middle.

No (but we have tried), maybe (Bianchi?), maybe (Doukara).

I've gone through the squad, made some simple visons about coming players, seen through the younger professionals and come up with this "Dream squad" for the coming season...
(I know I'm a nerd... 8-) )

Goalkeepers: Dan Atkinson, Alex Cairns, Eric Grimes, Paddy Kenny, Marco Silvestri and Stuart Taylor.
Fullbacks: Gaetano Berardi, Luke Booker, Lewie Coyle, Tyler Denton, Fabrizio Grillo, Zac Thompson, Charlie Taylor and Stephen Warnock.
Centrebacks: Afolabi Coker, Grant Hanley, Ross Killock, Tom Lees, Jason Pearce, Jake Skelton, George Swan and Scott Wootton.
Midfielders: Rodolph Austin, Tommaso Bianchi, Lewis Cook, Chris Dawson, Alex Mowatt, Luke Murphy, David Norris, Alex Purver, Michael Tonge and Federico Viviani.
Wingers: Sam Byram, Nathan Delfouneso, Souleymane Doukara, Max Gradel, Noel Hunt, Munya Mbanje, Kalvin Phillips and Aidan White.
Strikers: Luciano Becchio, Robbie McDaid, Steve Morison, Luke Parkin, Dominic Poleon, Matt Smith, Eoghan Stokes and Lewis Walters.

If this will be our team for the coming season, I'm quite sure that we will go up!
Some of the most exiting players are the younger stars like C Taylor, Skelton, Cook, Mbanje and McDaid. It really looks good!
