I want to begin by saying many Leeds fans appear to be disheartened by the upcoming season already.

Can anyone out there give me cause for optimism ahead of the new season????

Cellino and Hockaday for sure, Murphy or maybe Smith who've also been positive I see.

I would like to see Murphy as the main man in midfield. Towards the end of the season there were glimpses. He needs to feel loved and wanted I think and if he feels like he is the main man that may help.

I wouldn't be sad to see Ruudy Austin leave. He was very disappointing last year. Mowatt/Murphy for me. If we have to keep Austin then he may prove more useful coming on in games. Matt Smith did well last year. He is what he is. He aint a natural talent, but he scored lots of goals for us last year. Someone that Ross Mc got joy from.

Hopefully it's the last we have seen of Cameron Steward. He was a poor signing. Tom Lees never really cut it last year. I'd like to see Jason Pearce as captain if we lose Ross.

With the push through of some of the youngsters which Hockaday seems to be all for, I think we will see Austin become more of a squad player and spend most of his time on the bench. Other potential optimism is Sam Byram, hopefully he will have an injury free season and we will really see the player he truly is. Possibly Dom Poleon as well, I know not everyone believes he is good enough to be playing at this level but I think he has real potential.

1. We will own Elland Road
2. We will have a quality goalkeeper
3. Byram will be injury free.
4. 4 or 5 decent signings on their way.
5. The likes of Mowatt, Murphy, Smith, Wooton, etc will have all improved.
6. At least one if not more accademy product will make a break through to the first team.
7. Morrison, Hunt, Norris, etc wont play for us.
8. We will make the play offs
