Re: New Signings
be a solid back up keeper, cant see him been on big wages either. if we get this silvestri lad in and Kenny out I will be confident with our keeping situation.
Bringing Taylor in does this now mean the embargo has been lifted?

Apparently so.jjrgreeney wrote:

Just looked up Taylor on Wikipedia as I'll be honest I'd never heard of him. In his 17 year career he's only made 72 appearances
Winner of the Europa League
Re: New Signings
He was happy sitting on his arse on the Man City bench for many years rather than playing first team football. Solid back up and 6'5 too, good to have tall gk.

Re: New Signings
Don't think it does mean that necessarily because a transfer wasn't required. He was a free agent, out of contract, all we had to do was get him to sign a contract for us; i.e. he wasn't 'transferred'.jjrgreeney wrote: Bringing Taylor in does this now mean the embargo has been lifted?

Re: New Signings
As I understand it, a transfer embargo prevents the club from registering new players so if the paperwork has been completed, presumably before they flew to Italy, then the registration would have gone through today only if the embargo had been lifted

Hope so

Re: New Signings
So is Taylor a back up Goalkeeper or the new Goalkeeping Coach helping young Goalkeepers learn their trade?

@LeonWobYP: Told that the embargo has definitely been lifted #lufc
He'll be backup goalkeeper, CW, not a goalkeeping coach.

Alot of speculation about new players coming in and going out and its certainly been one of the busiest summers in the past 5 years. We've managed to move on a few players who if were honest were in the squad only because they were not good enough but were forced to get them in due to finances been so badly distributed or simply just wasn't there for whatever reasons.
I know that our squad has been stripped down a bit already but there is a few more players who need to be moved on, but are we also running the risk of depleting the squad too far? Granted its still early in the summer transfer market but we do have to bed players into the squad also and we cant run the risk of rushing at the last minute in August or hearing same old line of we couldn't find suitable players due to agents and over pricing. Its a touch and go time for our club and its exciting yet bite your nails time too.
Here's to a successful transfer window and we do solidify the first team squad.
