The man who was to education; what the iceberg was to The Titanic; what the fire was to the chocolate fire-guard; what a round peg is to a square hole; what Peter Ridsdale was to LUFC; what the Daleks are to the Universe.........I could go on.......!

Teachers everywhere are smiling and breathing a sigh of relief and hoping that just maybe, he has been replaced by a human being, and one with at least, above sub-normal intelligence and a minimum of a smidgen of understanding of what children and schools in the 21st Century actually need!

Thought he might get another season tbh, unlucky not to have the support of a decent leader. Unlucky with injuries as well, sick absence on the teaching team very high. No plan B for handling the Trojan Horse probably did for him. Bringing his mates in to make money out of academies not ideal. Lost the common room in the end and had to go.

You guys should think yourselves lucky, our education system was once the envy of the UK now it's in meltdown. Targets set for all boards to amalgamate then put back, now looking like being called off. Left hand not knowing what the right is doing.

Always amazes me that folk with no experience of specialist port folio like Education end up in charge. Gove reminds me of Betty Davies and Mesut Özil, both of whom would have done a better job

A government who's main basis for most policies is, prejudice, bigotry, divisiveness, hatred and greed.

A government who through Gove, scrapped a curriculum that was developed and researched intensively and independently, in consultation with many key bodies and which aimed to address the needs of all children, industry and the economies of the 21st Century. A blatantly political decision without any thought for the consequences on children and the teaching staff. They then hastily developed their own curriculum based it would seem upon, uninformed assumptions and academic snobbery; without any consultation of the relevant parties; without any caring or concern of the real needs of all children and without any apparent awareness or knowledge of child development.

Gove is a bully and has left teachers in the awful position of virtually having to bully young children into 'learning' a conveyor belt of subject matter that is not age appropriate; which doesn't allow them time to digest and retain it; which renders many unable to engage in it and which is setting more and more children up to fail from a very early age.
