Hurricane Bertha

Post by RamseyWhite »

Bloody wind just knocked over my tomato plants.
Plenty of rain today, anyone else had problems with the weather?

Not too bad on the south coast.
Southampton is sheltered by the Isle of Wight and the coastline either side so it's pretty calm here most of the time.
That said, I live four flights up and it is windy today. I nearly went for a bike ride but hate that more than when it's raining so I didn't bother :D

For the 2nd time in 3 days i've walked into town in glorious sunshine only to get soaked to the skin both times on the way home.
Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.

Happens to me quite often, usually in the same spot on my way home from work. You never learn, do you ?? :D

Down here in Berkshire we have had some patches of fairly heavy rain, a bit of thunder, no wind. Mostly, it has been sunny and a bit cooler than of late. Fortunately, it fell far short of what was forecast.

Bit windy in Shropshire but nothing too worrying.
