Still no exotic holidays to talk about during these Covid times but Mrs SW & myself have got the Wanderlust so are off on a UK back packing break.

Going to head west across the country and start in Chester then make our way south through Cheshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire to Herefordshire then across the Cotswolds as we head home.
We'll be using Public transport to get between places and have a few walks planned during our trip.

Its something we had planned to do in a few countries around the world prior to lockdown, so will call it a training run :D

Chester today was a 9 mile looped walk heading west along the river Dee, actually crossed into Wales for a mile or so before heading back into Chester across land for a well earned beer.
Rested up now and it's a Italian restaurant tonight.

Heading to Shrewsbury in the morning.

Yesterday after we arrived walked Chesters walls and found a Sam Smiths pub (we are ticking off every Sam's Pub we can on our travels so another done).

Visited the House of the Rising Sun last night a excellent restaurant i can definately recommend.
So will be following the banks of Britain's longest river out of town shortly, may regret that 2nd bottle of wine last night. :D
