I went to Brid once.
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

Re: Travel
I travelled through it on a Moscow to Beijing train once and spent an hour or so on a snowy platform in Ulan Bator whilst the driver had a break. Or something. It's a long old journey.NottinghamWhite wrote:Sniffer wrote:Outer Mongolia anyone>

We've sailed down the coast of Chile to Cape Horn but never set foot on land so sadly can't count it. Always fancied a Trans -Siberian rail journey

Nice country is Chile, one of the few I've been to that you've not NW (still you beat me in plenty).NottinghamWhite wrote:We've sailed down the coast of Chile to Cape Horn but never set foot on land so sadly can't count it. Always fancied a Trans -Siberian rail journey
We did it ourselves not an organised tour and stayed in Santiago which is massive and surrounded by mountains making it a great setting.
Did get up in the Andes, can't beat a few snow capped mountains to make it scenic.
Also visited the coast to Valparaiso which is a world heritage site because of it graffiti which is openly encouraged. Its built on a steep hill with finicular lifts everwhere that the locals use. Not touristy and costs a few pence only.
Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.
