Morning all. The above is a link to a VERY interesting article by Keir Taylor, it's about Mr Umbers.

I have posted this as an individual Leeds fan and not from my position as a LFLLP member

The more I read about a Cellino I can't believe how gullible he has been. Over 10 years of uncertainty with people like Bates running the club surely we can't keep stumbling from one thing to another. I see clubs with smaller fan bases than us getting taken over & getting stability. I would rather be a Championship side for ever than keep having this crap.

FFS

I'm checking it now - it could actually be because too many people are trying to view it.

Thanks for saying, I'll let you know when I know!

Nothing new in that piece - we've been aware of that for a while. It is hard to understand why Cellino just doesn't kick Umbers into touch if that is the true sequence of events. If Umbers is true to his reputation no doubt he has something over Cellino now that means they can't shift him and he becomes yet another snout in the trough hoping and praying for a Premiership bonanza pay out. The more you think about it the more likely we will go bust even, maybe specifically because, we get into the prem.....so many pay-outs will be necessary! I sometime wonder if I'd actually prefer us to go completely bust, eliminate all of the scumbags still involved and start from scratch at the bottom with an "honest" owner! I quite enjoy watching non league footie...

I don't think I've seen any of this sort of thing on LUFCTalk before.

Not very well written. Not a lot of facts. A lot of speculation. I can't see that Cellino would have appointed Umbers without a written contract defining the extent of his role as Chairman. eg I doubt that Umbers would have the authority to decide, unilaterally, who to sell the club to. On the other hand, Cellino did buy the club without doing due diligence. He might have learned his lesson though.
I once played against Don Revie.
