This is probably a rather unwise suggestion as I haven't looked in to how she did so well in her area, but Sarah Champion seems a strong candidate to me ... is that daft?

Andy Burnham anyway would be my vote, said it since his Anfield speech.

Please let it be Harriet Harman.
I once played against Don Revie.

Chuka gets my vote. I have been watching him for a couple of years since I first saw him on telly, and he is a polished performer.

He could be the UK's first black Prime Minister.

Or he could be if the Tories weren't sneakily planning the upcoming boundary changes which will give them around another 20 seats!

Thus ensuring that between them and the SNP we will have a Tory government for ever.

They will probably take us back to the good old days, before Labour, of no unions, £1 per hour MAXIMUM wage and no Health Service.

I'm just hoping I live long enough to benefit from the 'trickle down effect' the Tories use to justify everything they do for their core constituency!

I too like Chuka but I'm gonna listen to what all contenders have to say before I decide. Whoever leads needs a vastly improved message, a message which offers aspirational and imaginative policies otherwise we're potentially stuck with what we have for many years.

He can't afford the drop in earnings.

Isn't Chuka a Blairite? He'd fit in with the present government, wouldn't he?

:D, it's crackers how much he has earned since his 'retirement', cannot remember the name of his company now Blair Associates, or something, but it's millions upon millions streaming through.

Yvette Cooper for me, speaks a lot of sense.
