Battersea Cod's Home, again in Sheffield and The Frying Squad in South London. My favourite however is The Batter of Bosworth in Nuneaton
Giddy Kipper
There's a fish and chip shop near me that I've passed a hundred times without ever noticing its name until recently.
Do I get some sort of prize ??

Rigger, this is currently on-going in the 'bla bla of the forum'
I once played against Don Revie.

Voted Bristol's number one chippy (not sure who by) is The Cod Almighty.

Does 3 outlets count as a chain?NottinghamWhite wrote:We have a chain here in Nottingham called the Cods Scallops
We're lucky the Carrington branch is in walking distance of where we live.
First rate fish and chips, would satisfy anyone from Yorkshire.
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Got Letter yesterday from Homeserve saying Central Heating service contract was going up by 20%.
I've not had to call them for a couple of years (it also went up last year).
Phoned them and told them not to bother renewing when my policy ends in March.
They immediately said they could drop the cost to even less than I was paying last year.
Told them they should have thought of customer loyalty and offered that in the first place.
Now I'm with Corgi, cheaper and include much more.
Just hate how company's try to mug loyal customers.

Grandson is representing Liverpool Uni in the University Business Challenge. He's in a team of four and they are in the semi-final at Chelmsford in Essex. If they get through the final is in London. Don't know where he gets his brains from, her indoors reckons its from daughter-in-law!

Good uni, Liverpool - both of them are, actually.johnh wrote:Grandson is representing Liverpool Uni in the University Business Challenge. Should be a high standard to get this far - good luck to him
