If you like oldies there are a few on youtube, often connect the laptop to the TV when nothing else on.NottinghamWhite wrote:Anyone know of any free movie apps
But I like old movies, westerns, war films, etc.

Nice surprise yesterday. My wife lived in the UK for a while in mid 2000's.
She worked for leeds United for a season 2007/8.
She did security work and escorted vip's around.escorted Gary Kelly at his testimonial game onto the field to receive awards.
I had never seen them before, but yesterday she showed me her old pay statements from LUFC.
I told her don't ever loose those they are family memories, best thing about them they have they Leeds badge embossed on the outside cover.

Don't really know any names, but she says Allan Clarke, Peter Lorimer, Paul Reaney would give her boxes of chocolates on match days.
On a visit to UK early 1990's I think, she had an appointment with manager Eddie Gray during that time. Our two sons were playing good standard football here in the States at that time, she got an open invitation to send them both for trials at Leeds. Things didn't work out, youngest son who was breaking all sorts of goalscoring records got scoliosis, curvature of spine, major surgery and no more physical sport. Older boy, great midfielder started a rock band and eventually opened a recording studio.

Friend of ours took his 10 year old to school this morning. After lunch he set about his garden & after so long of his lad not been at school forgot all about him. Luckily a neighbour brought him home much to my friends embarrassment. Guess he won’t qualify for Father of the Year 2021

Saw a nice letter in the Daily Telegraph 'Readers Letters' today. A lady wrote:
'I treasure one of my late father's last shopping lists. 'Golden Virginia tobacco, Rizla papers, lottery ticket' It was written on the back of a betting slip'.
I had to smile, now that's what I call an heirloom.

Re: The blabla of the forum
I have had a niggling bad back for about a week. Not totally incapacitating but there all the time. Have had to be careful in what I do. Today, I got up and it had completely gone. Was even able to do a bit of gardening. Backs are mysterious things.
