I thought long and hard before writing the original post, believe me.
Oh I do, it's all very contentious. A bit like anything antiCellino in fact :P

In the end it cost his career ...
Akon dry humped a 15 year old on stage in an over 21s club in Trinidad and Tobago in 2007. I wouldn't say it cost him his career though. Still churned out a couple more hits after that.

You think it's harsh, mate, I think it's possibly the other way? I don't know why but for some reason I was expecting a longer sentence.

Agree ONS it wasn't as alluded to earlier a one off with someone who passed as 18+ (still wrong) but he knew AND kept going back. I think it's lenient

The sentence in my view seems harsh when compared to violent rapes ... Which get similar sentences. Whether it's harsh or not full stop, I will reserve judgement. The key word for me in these cases is CONSENT. I appreciate the law takes the view a motor can not give consent, however Johnson did not have sex with these girls and there is no suggestion they were not, in part consensual in the proceedings. I'm not defending him, but in relative terms there are much worse offenders out there - taxi drivers on Rotherham spring to mind.

Cant argue with your points, but to me the responsibility lies with the person who "knows" they are an adult not those that "think" they are. Perhaps a punishment for the minor "inciting" could be introduced as well.....

I'm still getting my head around a motor not giving consent.
