We've just started this summer's Euros with a view to finishing the tournament round about the end of the real thing.

I used to play this at school but we were alweays arguing the t*ss about those who didn't 'flick' but moved a player by stroking their finger across the surface to gain advantage !

We play Advanced Rules.
They're a little different to the "house rules" everyone on my street played when I was a kid, but it's basically the same in that you MUST flick the player with the fingernail of the flicking finger (usually the fore- ) of either hand, and it must not receive any traction from the thumb, ie it must be on the pitch when the flick takes place.
So, in short, "drag-backs" are not allowed
