Two days of absolute contrast yesterday was a lovely sunny winters day and today it’s freezing and foggy. You couldn’t make it up.

Lost a fence in this mornings winds, 7 * 6ft panels smashed, it actually snapped a couple of posts.
Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.

It's meant to stay windy right through tomorrow as well.Selby White wrote:Lost a fence in this mornings winds, 7 * 6ft panels smashed, it actually snapped a couple of posts.

We are having a summerhouse/bar built in the garden, the wind took one of the doors clean out of my hand, smashed into the side of the building and smashed the lock off.Selby White wrote:Lost a fence in this mornings winds, 7 * 6ft panels smashed, it actually snapped a couple of posts.

It’s only a small thing, then again that might do for us two of the smaller varietyDavycc wrote:Opening ceremony, date, invitesBarlow Boy wrote:We are having a summerhouse/bar built in the garden, the wind took one of the doors clean out of my hand, smashed into the side of the building and smashed the lock off.Selby White wrote:Lost a fence in this mornings winds, 7 * 6ft panels smashed, it actually snapped a couple of posts.

Re: Chuffing heck
This side of Atlantic we are having worst storm around these parts that we've had for quite a few years.
Already had about 20 inch of snow, several hours to go. 50mph wind, gusts to 80mph. temps in low teens, going down to single digits tonight.
No flights airport closed, no trains. Snow parking bans being enforced to allow snow clearance. Last night State ordered all multi story car parks to be opened for free to take cars off streets.
All highways closed, bridges closed, thousands without electricity, erosion doing a number on a lot of waterside property, roads turning into rivers at high tide.
Just heard the State pulled all their snowplows off the roads for safety of crews.
Just going to hunker down until tomorrow, see what the day brings, got plenty of food, plenty of football to watch.
Just watched, Ross County v Rangers, Fulham v Blackpool( with long emergency stoppage), Peterboro v Sheffield United, coming up internationals.
