Windy here last night, but not excessively so. Certainly not the 80 mph gales they forecast. No damage to be seen, fortunately.

Really weird thing going on here this week.
I leave for work at 03:45 Monday to Friday and most nights I'm in bed by 9pm.
I had a fortnight off earlier in the month and only went back to the job this Monday.
Every single day has seen clear blue skies, although it's been cold.
Every single night it's started raining as I've gone to bed. I quite like falling asleep to the sound of rain on the window.
Every single morning I've woken up a few minutes before my alarm at 03:15 and it's always still raining.
Every single morning I've left the house half an hour later and it's stopped raining altogether.

Am I a rain god ?? :wtf:

Count youself's all lucky that your not in the Australian Open (Tennis) in Melbourne as temps hit 39 degrees but the reflected court heat was 69 degrees as players sweltered in the heat.

quote from Herald Sun today -

ROGER Federer has downplayed suffocating heat as an Australian Open issue, insisting players are aware of the extreme conditions they are likely to face in Melbourne.

The Swiss champion said he would “back myself playing during the daytime” after Thursday night reaching the third round in cooler conditions.

His comments came as Novak Djokovic raised questions over whether officials should be more flexible in applying the tournament’s extreme heat policy and suspend play.

Gael Monfils said he was “dying on the court for 40 minutes” as temperatures hit 39c and reflected court heat topped 69c.
