Re: Ex-Player Watch
Sad news indeed as his wife also suffers from the same nasty disease. If anyone can beat this then Vinny is the man. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Hope he makes a full recovery, one of my favourite ever Leeds players is Vinnie and a really down to earth chap.

Re: Ex-Player Watch
I was lucky enough to see Vinnie when I was a season ticket holder. I remember his first game when he came on as sub; his warm-up routine (antics?) on the touchline clearly distracted the Middlesbrough players and when he did come on their keeper made a major rick and we scored the winning goal.
Also remember him doing a slide tackle on a very young mascot pre-match and the kop chanting 'you dirty fouling so-and-so' and him lapping it up.
A fabulous volleyed goal against Hull sticks in the mind.
Remember being at Selhurst Park when Yeboah scored that spectacular goal against Wimbledon. The Leeds fans chanted 'Vinnie Jones is a Leeds fan' and he responded with the arm salute as he came over to take a throw for them.
I was aghast when we took him on board based on his previous reputation. Just shows you how the media can create a false impression.
Thanks for some top football memories and good luck Vinnie in beating your cancer.

I wish Vinnie & his wife all the best in their fight against, and recovery from this disease. I always thought of him as an inspiration to others to make the most of their talents.
On a different note, I see that ex player david Hopkin has taken his first step into management by being appointed as interim manager of Morton. Good luck to him also.

He leaves Leeds because he missed his family, he wants to come back because he misses his family.
