Remember a lot of people at the time thinking we were wrong getting rid of him and keeping Phillips.

Now one of them is a key player for England and the other is looking to sign for a Championship Club, actually looks like MB called that one correct.
Actually thought one of the lower Prem Clubs may have tried to sign him, a Palace or Burnley.

I wonder if it would have been different under Bielsa ? Now theres a thing, without checking I can't remember if he was here when MB arrived

I’m sure he left a couple of years before Marcelo arrived. Really did think he was a future star. Think he represented England U21’s as well. From memory he picked up a bad injury & was never the same player again.

Aidy left in the summer of 2015, 3 years prior to God's arrival.
