I wonder why. Maybe it helps his confidence if he isn't being abused by his own fans, or booed off the pitch at half-time?judy wrote:Isn’t that just typical? Maybe it is because he actually played for them. Never got a look in here.judy wrote:Isn’t that just typical? Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions
Bloody hell Orta is out of control ... anybody 18 plus signing for the club should be on the verge of the 1st 11. We’re not Real Madrid we are a mediocre mid table 2nd tier side. If there not on the verge of the 1st 11 now they never will be if we are to progress. We really have wasted millions. We haven’t replaced the players we lost in the summer & have only enhanced 1 or 2 positions. It’s depressing.Selby White wrote:Knew it was a lot but that is unbelievable, thanks for highlighting it. & you would think with our inconsistent performances that 3 or 4 would have had the quality to become regular 1st team squad membersisrodger wrote:Bloody hell Orta is out of control ... anybody 18 plus signing for the club should be on the verge of the 1st 11. This is shocking. There clearly needs to be a change of mindset to quality over quantity.Selby White wrote:Knew it was a lot but that is unbelievable, thanks for highlighting it. Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions
Didn't Cellino get rid of most of our academy though, so we wouldn't have had that many young players last summer when AR took full control ?
I'm not condoning those numbers, but that may go some way to explaining the stockpiling ..

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions
Blimey. When you see it like that its not quite the tinkering around the edges most of us felt we needed. Its a revolution in motion. Problem for me is, when you have AR coming out and clearly stating prayoffs minimum at the start of the season, then you look at that list, I can't help but feel its been a bit of a con trick, a gamble that's spectacularly backfiring.MOT1964 wrote:This is shocking. Now I'm not blaming anyone, but hasn't AR been on record saying he's not well versed with the Football side of things? So he bought in Orta who has been around this league for quite afew seasons to assist in transfers, albeit on a limited budget. AR/Orta also bought in a manager from the Cyprus league with no Championship experience who won them over with a PowerPoint display?
Putting all this TOGETHER and the water starts to become a little muddier doesn't it, short and long term. I'm looking into my glass jam jar (can't afford a crystal ball) and I can see another revolution to replace the current revolution, and in a few years time we will be no further forward than we were under Grayson. Does anybody do Tarot Cards? I guarantee we would be dealt the Death card and when the clairvoyant pulls back the vail, behold, its Kenneth Bates.
When will the Ten of Pentacles card be dealt and the rebirth truly begin. (I know he bought the ground back)
