When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

Just put a steak & kidney mix in the slow cooker for tonight. Will have dumplings, mashed potatoes, swede & peas with it.

A hot pot tonight with mashed potatoes, peas, Brussel sprouts and pickled red cabbage.

Mince, mash potatoes, carrots, onions and a bit of broccoli. Simple but efective.

I absolutely adore mince it’s the most versatile meat there is. Cottage/Shepherds Pie, Bolognaise, Lasagne, Moussaka the list is endless.

If I'm not cooking for the family, I just fry the mince and let it simmer in very thick gravy, served with just a couple of boiled spuds and some peas.
A beer while watching it simmer always adds to the enjoyment

A few beers tonight whilst watching the game, so it’ll be some sort of takeaway tonight.
