Gooseberries were always known as goosegog's in Liverpool where I grew up.
My mum was from Wolverhampton, and she always called them goosegog’s. I still do.

Poached cod fillet with a white wine, mushroom and cream sauce. Served with new potatoes, asparagus and peas.

Bought 2 nice rump steaks so will have with mushrooms, peas and some DIY chips and pepper sauce.

We've got some wonderful prawn tempura from Aldi followed by Peking duck and all the trimmings, with a pinot grigio as supporting cast.
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Made a minestrone will be having that with a french stick. Bought a cheese selection yesterday so having that to follow. Just realised we haven’t any Parmesan so I’m popping out again.
