Sirloin steak, croquet potato's, peas. Pint of London Pride. Pudding: M&S chocolate eclair.

(M&S do put a lot of chocolate on their eclairs, yum.)
I once played against Don Revie.

One of my favourites cold chicken, home made chips, coleslaw, Moroccan cuscus, beetroot, a little salad, aren’t a huge fan, stuffing and some crusty bread.

Decided to treat ourselves tonight one of the dishes we will be having is pommes dauphinois but I’ll be doing it to my recipe which is as follows :-=

Slice potatoes ( I use a mandolin for consistency)
Finely dice onion & garlic
Mixture 50/50 of double cream & milk
Grate Gruyere cheese
Seasoning

Layer the potatoes ( usually 3 layers ) between each layer add garlic & onion & Gruyere. Once done pour in the cream/milk & top with Gruyere.

So tonight it’s a pork steak which I’ll flambé in Calvados add a cider & apple sauce ( bought from M&S can’t do better if I’m honest ) string beans & garden peas.

As I say this is a special meal for us as it’s not a cheap one but something we might ever have a couple of times a year. The smell as the dauphinois is cooking is wonderful. Back to egg & chips tomorrow :D
