I don't hear you saying the same things about our dear Royal Family, and for me I would put them at equal standing. And who's to argue that God hasn't bestowed him this privilege in life due to his faith & devotion?

Anyway its Brexit where I meet the man in the middle, I see it on exactly the same terms as Mr JRM.

To many, no doubt, he will seem to be somewhat blatant and bumptious, but we prefer to regard him as being simply British.

After slipping & sliding for the last god only knows how many months, TM bestie, Dazzy Green finally gets the chop (no pun intended) over allegations of improper conduct with a woman and viewing pornography on his work computer. All allegations he has in the past denied, I can only presume he must be a liar?

I no nowt about rail franchise but what's going on here? Sounds like private firms have got the government in their pocket. I thought if you entered into a deal you should honour your contract and show you can provide a reliable service and then apply for a new deal at the end. It sounds like they feel they paid too much, so they want the contract ending early to save them paying what they agreed. And then they will come back in with a lower bid and off we go again. Another balls up by the government. Awarding contracts to a failing company just because they were the lowest price option. (I wonder why) Is it time Chris Grayling resigned?

Its got me thinking about the whole public vrs private debate. Anyway I work for a private company, not a PLC and we don't have any problems with productivity. I go to work, work hard, come home switch off and then i'm ready to go again. If I have a day off work they make you feel like you have done something wrong, but if its genuine and not repetitive then they will pay me no problem.

My mrs on the other hand goes to work in the public sector, and I number 2s you not, the amount of sickness/excuses in her office on a weekly basis literally makes me sick. It really is a shambolic affair. There doesn't seem to be any rules or regulations in terms of sickness/excuses and people literally take the pissssss and can get full pay for 6 months. No wonder the government is reluctant to lift the pay-cap when certain employees don't deserve a rise at all, and let the rest of the hard working staff down.

So all this talk about bringing public services back into public ownership needs to be carefully thought through and tough measures put in place to stop the rot of sickness/excuses stopping people attending work. I get the feeling that working in the public sector is just a extension of the welfare system.
