I've been keeping tabs on this game even though I didn't play. Can I ask where you get the odds from? It's just that, collectively, you're making a 5% profit so far which is pretty impressive.

Yes of course :-

I usually use Oddschecker https://www.oddschecker.com/football which gives you the odds at each bookmakers. I tend to take the best odds unless silly numbers (eg, 127/25 would use 5/1), the best odds are shown in bold on the website and home, draw & away could come from different bookies.

Don't forget we don't pay tax.

Hope you'll be joining us for the next game

I only ask because I'm always looking for ways to gain an advantage on the bookies. There's no betting tax nowadays - I remember in the days of 10% tax I fancied I could make a living at it. I placed £70,000 of bets over a month (plus £7,000 tax) and lifted £74,000 in returns. Net loss of £3,000 but without the tax it would've been a nice profit!

I have noticed quite often the odds are slightly better on average about a week or so before the match when I get them. They often come in but ours stay as the origional posted to be fair to everyone.

Long time since I had a bet, didn't realise no tax.

Simple enough. When I left the army I had a few quid. I thought I could make a living as a professional gambler. I was wrong!
