Long way still to go for him as he another 5 years to wait and see if he remains free before he can be given the full all clear going by what is in various reports i have read.

Still it a relief for the family that he is clear and well done to him.

That's just so unfair.

Fingers crossed that they will have caught it early enough to be able to treat it.

Thinking of you, little man.

From Leeds live:-

The family of Leeds United superfan Toby Nye, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last month, have received the devastating news that 'there are no more treatment options' available for him.

Toby's mum posted on social media confirming the news and that they were told by doctors 'there is nothing else they can do'.

Toby's brain tumour was discovered in early October, just weeks after the five-year-old had entered remission.

His fight against neuroblastoma captured the hearts of the city and, with the help of Leeds United, saw £200,000 raised to pay for specialist treatment that wasn't available on the NHS.

It appeared to have worked when the family broke the news that Toby was well on the road to recovery, before the youngster started suffering from headaches - leading to the tumour discovery.

In an extended Facebook post, Toby's mum said:

"I can't believe I am about to write this update and can't believe I even have to write it at all.

"Toby was doing amazing however over the past few days he has been waking up with excruciating headache.

"A scan has shown us that Toby's tumour has progressed.
'We were told something that we never wanted to hear'

Toby's consultant told us that there are no more treatment options for Toby and there is nothing else they can do.

"Toby is now home where he belongs surrounded by his whole family.

"He is very drowsy due to being on very strong pain relief, however we are going to try & make as many happy memories with him as possible, he has given us a list of things he would like to do.
'I'm not ready to give up on him yet and I'm still going to fight for my baby boy'

Already hundreds of people of sent messages of support to the family. One person said "Heartbreaking, keep fighting little boy". Another said "Can't think of what to say but love this little fella so much", and another posted "So sorry to hear this, you stay strong you little super hero".

Absolutely heartbreaking, I’ll never forget Cooper carrying him out onto the pitch, several near me in the stands had tears in their eyes.
