Especially when the control is simply "when the fun stops, stop" as if those who are trying to win back what they have lost will suddenly realise they've been doing it all wrong. Then there are programs that show the supposedly self banning orders don't work, or the practice of targeting those have been away with offers to reignite the addiction.Tedbaker wrote:Terribly sad.
It makes me angry that our club (and many others) have the shirt sponsors that we do. You can’t watch Sky without being inundated with moronic gambling adverts. I have known friends and relatives who have lost everything because they are congenitally unable to stop. It’s a real scourge and should in my view be put in the same bracket as tobacco advertising.
