Argentine fan watching el loco
Hello to everyone. Hope your time with El Loco is enjoyable as well as interesting which it will surely be. The players if they are even moderately intelligent have not only a great opportunity as players but also can learn from the World's greatest football thinker if not manager. His first incredible managers job at Newells Old Boys a big provincial club not unlike Leeds saw them shock River, Boca etc and win the league and only lost the Libertadores Cup final on penalties. What probably is most interesting for you guys is that this young team created by Bielsa included Pochettino, Berizzo(currently tecnico at Athletic Bilbao), Gerardo Martino(ex tecnico Argentina, Estudiantes, Barcelona), and Dario Franco Copa America manager and top tecnico in Mexico. Enjoy

Thank you all, Bielsa is unique and his philosophy has influenced so many big football tecnicos such as Simeone and Pochettino directly and the likes of Guardiola indirectly. He has detractors such as ex Argentina coach Cesar Menotti who was horrified of his treatment of Juan Roman Riquelme in 2002.If the Leeds players and directors are honest with him he won't be going anywhere quickly so I wouldn't worry about that. I would say your squad needs to be strong as forty six matches is very long at his intensity.

Thank you for your insight into Bielsa pal, I must admit to being a little worried that a EPL club will come for him around Christmas time.

Considering how important pre season is to Bielsa in order to allow him to get his squad up to the required levels of fitness, I can't see him leaving a club mid season to join another.Barlow Boy wrote:Thank you for your insight into Bielsa pal, I must admit to being a little worried that a EPL club will come for him around Christmas time.

Bielsa considers himself an honourable man that won't be a problem unless he sees Leeds players or directors not doing what was agreed. Bielsa likes money but he's proud and after coaching in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Spain, and France he won't want to fail in England.
