Not sure if this is an age thing but when I was a kid you saw a fair chunk of old cars, bangers as we called them. These days it seems rare to see a car older than 5 years old

That'll be the MOT for ya. My dad always drove his car until it gave up the ghost, always full of temporary/permanent repairs

Plenty of old cars near me. Depends where you live, I reckon :)

Mine's a W-plate, so about 13 or 14 I think ?
It's only on 85k and a friend had the same model that managed 700k before he finally scrapped it.
Mind you, it is a Jeep. Not much can go wrong with them.
Over the last four years, I've only spent about £600 on MOTs, tyres and repairs.
That's not bad for any vehicle of its age.
Fuel's okay too - about 30mpg.
Tax isn't so great: £210 pa.

12yr old SAAB with 89,000 mls. Replaced the Turbo last month, they couldn't get the low pressure one that was standard so fitted the high pressure one of the Aero model for the same money NIICCEE. Had her 6 years and until the turbo went had spent about £300 on tyres and brakes

Love SAABs have had 6 so. Real shame they are now defunked

I lived here for 2 years, 2004-2006. Moved here again with my new partner last April, so have been here 10 months now.
Thanks for asking mate. 8-)

Whereabouts are you ?

I had a French gf for 9 years - she was born in Limoges but lived most of her life in Paris.
I know Lille best, myself, having been there several times to see her brother.
I've been to Paris, St.Malo, Normandy, Brittany, etc too, but I love Lille - such a great city !

We used to have a regular a French Leeds fan post on here, his post count was over 750. JeJe-58 but he hasn't posted in over a year. Memory serves me correctly he came over to Leeds to live for awhile.
