Leeds United 1898-99 (yes, really) historians

There was actually a Leeds United AFC in the 1898-99 season. Not many people know that. They were in second place in their league with only a few matches to go only to inexplicably withdraw late on. They are one of the teams included in LATE TO THE GAME which will be published at the end of May. The book covers the early years of football in not only Bradford (sorry) but also the West Riding in general.

Might make a great Fathers Day present :)

EDITED BY RIGGER - if anyone wants to buy the book, contact Rob via PM.
I've removed the direct link as this was a blatant advertising attempt trading on the fact that Leeds is in West Riding.
The mod team have decided to give the OP the benefit of the doubt in terms of him joining the board as he claims to also follow Leeds despite being a Bradford fan.

Hi Rob.

I think what Selby White is referring to was asking permission to advertise on the forum which you didn't. Anyway welcome aboard I hope you stick around and enjoy the forum. Good luck with the book.
