She has been feeling rough last few days and tested each of the last 3 days but today's was the first to come back positive.
Apparently it takes 5 or 6 days to show up so we think must have caught it when we went to the concert in Leeds last Sunday.
So far I've tested negative.
We had a lunch out booked today so just cancelled.
7 days isolation now (at least) so that is Xmas sorted.
Sorry to hear that mate, best wishes to you and the Mrs.

Has she had a full PCR test, or just a Lateral Flow ?

Just the LFT so far, she has reported it online and now needs a follow up PCR test.

Thanks guys symptoms are what appears a normal cold but with lots of aching joints. Hopefully that is as bad as it gets.

Aaargh! Sorry to hear this, Mick, this Christmas was always going to be hard for so many without getting positive LFT to add to it for you. We managed here, I had the virus for nearly 2 weeks but got over it and 'wor lass' didn't get it. That is probably the one single positive aspect at the moment, we have a loved one in palliative care. He got pneumonia a few weeks ago and was hospitalised. He beat it but got Covid there, but beat that too, but is now sedated and being made comfortable in the care home.

I went to the one at Morrisons for my PCR, have to say it was brilliantly organised.

Fingers crossed it’s only a mild illness.

Hope it doesn't hit her too hard and it passes quickly. You may not test positive Mick, everyone in our house has tested positive at some point but I've always missed it. Hope you both still have a great Christmas
