Torquay?
Python's John Cleese at Fawlty Towers
As a seaside place I'm sure it has a pier or two
And a golf course for all the retirees....
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Tough one this really struggling to link clues.
Piers could be lots of places but as the Golf clue is there could be somewhere we play the Open.
St Andrews possibly as its the most famous (not sure if I remember a Pier though)

No, not St Andrews.
Okay, I'll give you a clue : note that it's piers plural. Golf isn't far away and clay is right underneath them.

Really? Nobody knows?? One person should have got it by now, as he only lives up the road...

Got me beat this one, can't link two of the clues to make an educated guess.

The Python clue has been getting to me, been trying to think Sports Teams (Selby pythons, etc) however it just hit me could it possibly be the Rock Band "Python Lee Jackson" ?
Cheated a little to see where they are from as didn't know and its Sydney Australia, they have Piers but not sure about the other clues.
Suspect I'm wrong but its my best effort.
