Ted Sagar, Greenhalgh, Dugdale, Cyril Lello, Tommy Jones, Peter Farrell, Peter Corr, Eddie Wainwright (Nobby Fielding) Jock Dodds, Alex Stevenson (Wally Boyes) Tommy Eglington.

No apology that they are all from the same team. Everton in the late 1940's. Remember them as though it was yesterday.

Terry Butcher - Ipswich
Des Walker - Forest

Gordon Banks- Leicester
Ray Wilson-Huddersfield
George Cohen - Fulham
Stiles - Man United
Brian Labone - Everton
Bobby Moore - West Ham
Trevor Francis - Forest
Alan Hudson - Chelsea
Terry Paine - Southampton
Jimmy Greaves - Spurs
Wyn Davies - Newcastle
Subs.
Lawler - Liverpool - full back
Hurley - Sunderland - ceter back
Maurice Setters - Stoke, defensive midfield
Bell - Man City - Midfield
Andy gray - Villa - Striker

Banks
Wilson Labone? Cohen
Stiles Moore
Hudson Francis
Paine Davies Greaves

With this line up you have 2 good defensive full backs who can also overlap providing crosses/pass into box.
Labone, hope I remembered the right name here, otherwise I'll go with Charlie Hurley at Sunderland in the middle at the back, Davies( highest jumper I ever saw) and Moore would also defend crosses from set pieces.
Stiles and Moore in front of the back 3, breaking up attacks, providing our attacking players with ammo.
With Francis and Hudson in midfield, you have players with vision, great ability to run with the ball themselves or put through the perfect pass to Greaves or Paine, they also score plenty themselves.
Paine, an old fashioned winger, combining skill and speed would be the outlet to get us down the other end quickly. Great crosser of the ball and good shot. I've teamed him up with Davies and Greaves. Wyn Davies laying the ball off to Greaves would be a killer combo similar to the Gilzean-Greaves duo which was successful for so many years at Spurs. With Francis and Hudson behind him, I see Greaves topping goalscoring charts in any league in the World.
