Christmas drinks

Post by ChilwellWhite »

Our daughter, husband and children have popped over so I cracked open a bottle of Moët et Chandon. We’ve a Sauvignon and a Rioja to have later. What’s everyone else drinking.

I'll have a Pinot Grigio with dinner, but pint bottles of local ale (Smithwicks) while prepping food.

Bulmers Cider and Guinness later - nothing fancy with me :D

Champagne with our Christmas Dinner then a bottle of Red with cheese and cake for supper.
Not selected tonight's red yet (we actually use playing cards to random draw which position in the wine rack).
May have a beer in between while Mrs SW will go for a G & T.

Similar yesterday but the fizz was Proseco instead of the real McCoy, the red selected was a nice Italian offering.
No beer though.

Wine at Christmas lunch, usually a white bubbly version (yellow) but after that it's beer all the way from me.
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

Won't have a drink during the day, but may open a nice bottle of port this evening (with some cheese of course).

IT'S ALL CHANGED HERE TODAY

For a few years we went to Lorraine's parents for Christmas dinner. There was always at least 15 people, so therefore it never went smoothly (great fun, but messy).
Since we had our own kids, we've stayed at home and had our own tradition (10 years).

3 weeks ago, Lorraine's granny passed away at 94 years, so we decided to go back and keep her parents company this Christmas dinner.
I said I would do the roast spuds. "Time them for 2pm" were my instructions. I did as asked... Then got a phone call to say that the oven was set to 'Grill' - Mr Turkey is raw :o

Dunno when we're gonna eat, but the Christmas drink is really kicking in now

Merry Christmas again everyone :wtf:
